JGF Fitness was founded by Jonathan Fairhurst, a professional, qualified trainer dedicated to achieving the best results for each of his clients based on his many years of experience and enthusiasm for sport and physical improvement. Able to help clients lose weight, adopt a healthier lifestyle or provide nutritional guidance, run faster or further, build strength and endurance or correct postural imbalances.
Jonathan grew up in Wirral before moving away for several years to attend University and for work before returning in 2005.
Sport has always been a major part of Jonathan's life and taking the step to create a career based around this was a logical step. Years of experience of competitive sport and practical knowledge backed up by more recent formal qualifications provide a solid foundation for training others.
Involved in sport from an early age, Jonathan has competed in many sports over the years. A competitive runner, triathlete, mountain biker, adventure racer and golfer, he's rarely still for long.
Having worked in the corporate world for most of his career he made the decision to pursue his passion for health & fitness and gained his Level 3 qualification in Gym Instruction and Advanced Personal Training and is listed on the Register of Exercise Professionls (REPs).
